The Lunch and Learn program at Rose Schnitzer Manor at Cedar Sinai Park that was scheduled to end in July has received a partial reprieve.
The twice-weekly program was to end July 25, because Multnomah County ended its financial support, according to David Fuks, CEO of Cedar Sinai Park. Now, CSP has decided to fund the program on a limited basis.
“At least a couple times a month, we are happy to gather elders from the community on our campus to make Shabbas with us and to enjoy the campus and the fellowship of their friends,” said Fuks.
CSP will host the program the first and third Friday of each month. Persons 60 and older living independently may visit the campus at noon for a kosher lunch and Shabbat celebration.
Fuks said the campus has asked the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland to consider helping maintain the program.
Rose Schnitzer Manor is at 6140 SW Boundary St. For more information, call 503-535-4000.
