ZACHARY KLINE
Zachary Joseph Kline was born March 25 to Roger and Dena Kline of Eugene. He joins big brother Samuel Nathan. Grandparents are Alfred and Myra Herpe of Daly City, Calif., and the late Roger Lynn Kline of Yakima, Wash. Great-grandparents are Esther Jachimowicz of San Francisco, Berthold Herpe of Daly City and Roger Lee Kline of Yakima.

Kerith and Dean Earlix announce the adoption of Raizel Rivka, born May 19, 2006, and Avraham Mordechai, born Oct. 10, 2007. Both children arrived home from Ethiopia on May 2. They join siblings Amirah Binyaminah and Chaim Eliyahu.

Casie Lynn Berk and Matthew David Goldman were married March 30, 2008, at Congregation Shaarie Torah. Rabbi Arthur Zuckerman officiated.Casie is the daughter of Glenn and Gail Berk of Ashland. Matthew is the son of the late Janet Goldman and grandson of the late Esther Schick, both of Portland.

BILL AMITON
A memorial service was held for Bill Amiton May 9 at the Gevurtz Chapel. Mr. Amiton died May 7 at the age of 91. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, in 1916, Mr. Amiton had lived in Portland since the early 1920s. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and owned and operated Amiton Furniture. He also was a member of the Tualatin Country Club and Congregation Neveh Shalom. Mr. Amiton was predeceased by wife Florence in 2000. He is survived by his sons Roger Amiton and Marshall Amiton; his daughter Debbie Matulef; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.Memorial contributions can be made in his honor to Legacy Hopewell House.
EDITH TASKER
A funeral service has been held for Edith Tasker who died May 5 at the age of 89. Ms. Tasker had been a lifelong Portland resident. She worked primarily as a executive secretary including more than 30 years of employment for Portland City Hall. She also was a member of the Audubon Society. Ms. Tasker is survived by her sister Rose Pisotchi.
